About the book
With the weight of that unwavering word, “incurable”, Ana decided to distil her unique poetic gift which is revealed through her own creative power. From each of her songs comes a voice with a maturity far beyond her years, speaking of light, of truth and of knowledge.
Up until the age of nine, Ana was no different from any other child except, perhaps, for the extraordinary results she achieved in her first years of schooling. Then, suddenly, she was diagnosed with Friedreich’s Ataxia: a rare, serious and insidious disease, which has no known cure. In a short space of time she had become wheelchair-bound, with a number of serious secondary diagnoses accompanying the primary one, such as cardiomyopathy, skeletal deformities, fatigue, muscle weakness and diabetes.
Ana's personality shines through, and her songs touch deep inside the soul, forcing the reader to seek answers to the important questions in life.
